Plot is devided by 2 that are Functioanl and Catalist. Funtional Plot is the important or core event in the story and Catalist Plot is additional event in the story.
How to analyze plot according to Greimas theory?
There is SUBJECT who want to get OBJECT. While getting the object, there OPPONENTS that disturb the subject, but there is HELPER that help the subject. The subject is inspired by SENDER and the result will be a RECEIVER (can be SUBJECT or else).
Cinderella story take a subject Cinderella and the object is happiness. She wants to get an object that is happiness inspired by a sender that is her suffer. While she effort to get the object, she is disturbed by opponents that are her step mother and sister. But there is occured a helper that is fairy who help her all the time. Cinderalla as a receiver finally gets the happiness by livung with handsome prince and live happily ever after.
